A London Lark Rising : walking theatre

Dr Anu Kumar has teamed up with our Founder, Lisa Honan CBE, to present a dramatised walking tour in the City of London which reveals the history of the East India Company in London from 1599 onwards. While Lisa guides you on her tour, a cast of historical characters re-enact the rise of the Company at the spots where events took place.

Anu Kumar is a playwright and doctor. Her heritage is from India and she lives in London. With support from the Heritage Lottery, and the Skinners Livery Company the show opened at the JLF London at the British Library on 7 June. There were more shows on 21 July and 7 September. We will be back in 2025
